The Ride  - Puerto Pollensa circluar via Petra

    Length      - 59 miles (95 Kilometres)

    Elevation  - 2588 feet (789 metres)

Which ever way round you do this route you won't be disappointed. It is a flatter ride than most in northern Mallorca but the scenery is excellent. We followed the route through Pollensa and rode through the rolling countryside towards the real Mallorca towns of Sa Pobla, Muro, Sineu and Petra. These towns provide you a real feel of what Mallorca has to offer. We stopped in Sineu for a cool drink and Petra for lunch and found the cafes cycling friendly. The route then begins to swing northeast and towards the east coast as it worms it way through more rolling countryside towards Can Picafort. Then head north towards the old town of Alcudia (the old streets and a fort are worth a look at) and then its back to Puerto Pollensa on a dedicated cycle path. We had another meal by the beach in Can Picafort where there are many cafes and restaurants to chose from. This ride takes in a number of authentic towns and villages and with a nice mixture of the countryside and the coast, we felt this ride had a lot to offer.
