Most of the cycling excursions are available in Palma de Mallorca. In general there are three types of cycling sightseeing tours you can book: Palma Old Town, Palma Panoramic bike tour and tapas bike tour. From time to time you will also be able to find a night cycling tour.
Wine biking tours on another hand take place in the mid island in an area called Binissalem. You will be offered to bike through the dirt roads of a wine yard and after you can enjoy a glass of a local wines.
Mallorca is blessed to have Serra de Tramuntana – an amazing mountain range that stretches through the west coats of the island. There are plenty of places around the mountains that provide great cycling trails including Soller, Sa Comuna and Lluc Monastery.
Finally, some of the worldwide famous road cycling athletes train in Mallorca, for example Britain’s famous Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins has mentioned Mallorca in many interviews as one of his most favorite training locations. Palma de Mallorca to Capocorb Vell – in Capocorb Vell you will be able to see massive stone formations that date back to Bronze Century. Andratx to Monestir de Lluc – a 13-century pilgrimage site very well known for its Black Madonna. The legend says that one of the shepherds found a statue of virgin Mary in the mountains and took it to the near by church, but next morning the statue was back to its original location. Port d’Alcudia & Cap des Pinar – the best place to see Cap des Pinar (a cliff with a fantastic view on Cap de Formentor) with its 13m hole in the rock formation.
